welcome to maysa…

Our journey began in 2023 at Wolli Creek, where we started with a humble dream to share the authentic flavors of Thailand with our community. Thanks to the support and encouragement of our valued customers, we were inspired to expand and bring our passion for Thai cuisine to the vibrant Balmain neighborhood.

The name "Maysa" (เมษา) means "April," symbolizing new beginnings, growth, and renewal. Inspired by Thailand’s lush traditions and vibrant culture, our menu is crafted with a touch of nostalgia, drawing on childhood memories and old recipes passed down through generations. We also believe that Thai food offers numerous natural benefits and medicinal qualities — not only with well-balanced, complex flavors but also nourishing both the body and the soul.

At Maysa, we share our warm Thai hospitality — a welcoming, vibrant space where old traditions merge with new influences, creating a dining experience that is both familiar and exciting.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our story, flavors, and culture—just like at home.

Thank you very much for your continued support — it means a lot to us and keeps our dream alive.

“When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear: to make people happy, that is what cooking is all about.”
